HOOK
The story of the hundreds of millions of people like us that fought World War 2.
WHO are we targeting?
Our core demographic. Fans of WWII content who are always eager and interested to watch new content and gain new insights about WWII and The Nazis. They will find these stories moving,
WHAT do we want to communicate?
For 6 years and 1 day, the World was at war. From September 1st 1939 when Hitler invaded Poland to September 2nd 1945 when Japan signed their unconditional instrument of surrender, every continent was affected and every man, woman and child lived through a period of uncertainty, fear and terror. For six years and one day, their lives were Hell on Earth.
This is not a series about the landmark battles and ingenious strategic manoeuvres. Nor is the focus on tanks or planes or innovative machinery. The focus is on the ordinary men who used these innovations, lived and died by these machines; the people who toiled day and night in the factories to make them. The people who served under the celebrated generals and used their bravery, ingenuity and desire to survive to carry out these ingenious manoeuvres and win these landmark battles. Ordinary people who became machines of war to fight for what they believed in. But the war was not just fought on the battlefields and designed in the factories, no one was free from this war. From the cities to the countryside the war machine mowed through them, irreparably changing lives, taking lives and leaving scare that never leave. But it also made men of boys, brought our heroic sides from people and afforded others the chance to develop skills and demonstrate a flair that would have never otherwise been afforded to them. This is the story of the greatest conflict in human history as told through the stories of the people who fought it: from land, sea or air, in the towns and cities, the countryside, the deserts or the jungles. Moving stories, harrowing stories, stories of Hell on Earth that exploit the latest scholarship, previously closed archives and modern production techniques to set a new standard for understanding the war that shaped the modern world.
WHY are we doing it?
WWII and Nazi-related material are the most popular material on the channel and perhaps arguably the most popular in all history. Our viewers have an unquenchable thirst for WWII content and are always eager for new, unearthed discoveries, new perspectives offered on battles and anything that presents a fresh viewpoint on WWII.
