An exploration of the wild life of asia.
WHO are we targeting?
Our wider demographic of 25-54 year olds who love wildlife programming; they will be drawn in by the spectacular visuals of vastly different landscapes across Asia and amazed by the up-close and personal presentation of wildlife and captivated by stories of survival from the largest mammal to the smallest insect.
WHAT do we want to communicate?
If we could focus mainly on the four premiere shows for footage: Wild Tokyo, India's Wild Karnataka, Looking for Sultan, Gyamo - Queen of the Mountain. Asia, the most populous continent on Earth. Over 17 million sq miles. It is a continent that varies from some of the most densely populated areas on Earth, and vast areas of uninhabited land. It’s a continent that is home to peoples of extremely different background, behaviours, politics, religions and beliefs… and equally different wildlife. Through this series of carefully curated shows, we will explore how the landscapes, cities and people of Asia interact and influence the wild life that also call Asia home.
WHY are we doing it?
This continues the Wild Weekends brand for the channel, which acts a means of keeping viewers tuned for marathon sessions and a bed for us to push our great content for the following week from across our portfolio. It’s an examination of wild life throughout Asia that captures the animal kingdom and the vastly differing climate in its most primal and masterfully manages to tell collections of compelling, mini-narratives with incredible, up close footage.
