HOOK
From rivers and jungles to mountains and forests, the world's most beautiful and majestic natural wonders wait to be seen in this exquisite eight-part series.
WHO are we targeting?
Our entire viewership. This is part of a call to action campaign as part of our Earth Day Season. We want our Sunday blue chip viewers tuning in to our week day prime time slots. We know they will appreciate these incredibly beautiful and up-close presentations of some of the most naturally stunning landscapes on the planet. Travel show viewers and people who already have a conscience for global conservation.
WHAT do we want to communicate?
A premiere – as part of Earth Day Season. Perhaps a bespoke end board could be created to bring together this and the other programmes featured in the season?
8 episodes – airing over 8 nights – offering a privileged exploration of eight of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth. It’s a celebration of our beautiful planet - this is what we have to preserve.
Rich and visually satisfying, this is no ordinary travel series, with each episode a journey covering nature, geography, geology, history and humanity within a specific iconic place, including The Mekong River, The Causeway Coastal Route, Queensland Australia, Snowdonia, Canadian Rocky Mountains, The Lake District, The Amazon River, The Scottish Highlands. Admire their wonders, discover their secrets and be blown away by their awe-inspiring, breath-taking, natural beauty.
Unique footage from satellites and drones above combines with spectacular cinematography down below to reveal the splendour of the places you always wanted to visit. Interviews with experts and the people who call these places home add insight and reveal what it's like to live and work in these truly unique places.
WHY are we doing it?
Earth Day (22nd April) is an internationally recognised day to take heed of our planet, acknowledge its beauty, demonstrate support for environmental protection and recognise the importance of future work that is required to ensure the longevity of our planet. To support this important cause we are dedicating a month of programming on the channel to Earth Day, with this show focusing on the beauty of our planet and hopefully raising awareness in our viewers of why we need to work to preserve what we have.
