Format: Promo
Platform: TV
Region: CEE, Nordics
Project brief:
HOOK
A landmark journey beneath the waves of the richest and most complex eco-system in the world.
WHO are we targeting?
This is for the purists, fans of high quality, blue chip nature programming. They’ll enjoy the slow, patient, meandering photography and calm, comforting voice over, which accompanies beautifully photographed natural scenery and wild life.
WHAT do we want to communicate?
The Great Barrier Reef stretches over 2300 km along North East Australia. It’s the largest, most complex natural eco-system on Earth, and also the only living thing visible from space. It is home to thousands of species of wildlife, from huge whales, to tiny urchins, ferocious tiger sharks and baby plankton. It is also arguably the most beautiful, cherished natural asset on the planet. This is a bold statement, but after watching this 4 part series, you are convinced that it is true, and blown away by the footage that takes us below the surface and gets as close as one can get to this underworld kingdom that the program makes feel alive!
The promo needs to capture this vast, unparalleled beauty of the Reef and get across these huge, truthful statements. From above get an idea of the vastness of this eco-system, surrounded by clear, blue water. But it’s underneath the surface that things really get magical. It becomes almost something out of fiction, a technicolour dream, of all manner of organisms co-existing. It is like entering another world.
WHY are we doing it?
This is alongside the very best of blue chip programming, which brings great credibility and prestige to Nature. As one of the most beautiful and cherished, natural assets it’s landmark program, which we are proud to have won the rights to broadcast. This is an honour for us, and we want to ensure that the viewers feel as strongly about this program as we and the producers do.
